FIESTA® TURF WEED KILLER
Iron Based Selective Broadleaf Weed Control
Recommended as a replacement for selective, chemical, post emergent herbicides for use on lawns, golf courses, parks, cemeteries and athletic fields.
This is the product that everybody in the organic lawn care industry has been waiting for. Introducing a natural weed control that will work effectively without using products that contain 2, 4-D and other dangerous active ingredients found in chemical herbicides. Fiesta® will control a long list of broadleaf weeds without harming the lawns in which they grow.
Fiesta Lawn Weed Killer® is what many lawn experts have called the final step in the true promotion of organic lawn care. For years professionals in organic lawn care have done everything possible to not employ the use of chemical herbicides, especially those that contain 2, 4-D, Mecoprop-p and Dicamba. From preaching proper cultural practices, to monitoring calcium and magnesium ratios in soil to hand pulling dandelions, conquering broadleaf weeds was the biggest challenge in implementing an organic lawn care strategy. This is no longer the case because you can go ahead and spray unsightly weeds in your customer’s lawns by using this natural weed control derived from iron.
The active ingredient in Fiesta® is Iron HEDTA and its mode of action is to kill the weed through iron toxicity. The mechanism of selectivity is provided by the fact that a dicot will absorb iron much differently than a monocot will. This is why it will kill the weed and not the grass. As a professional you know what this means to your ability to control weeds.
Fiesta® controls or suppresses weeds such as but not limited to: black medic, broadleaf plantain, bull thistle, canada thistle, common chickweed, creeping buttercup, dandelion, dovefoot geranium, english daisy, false dandelion, healall, moss, narrow leaved plantain, persian speedwell, shepards-purse, silverweed cinquefoil, slender speedwell, white clover, wild chamomile.
Application Instructions
Shake well before using. Mix one-part FIESTA® TURF WEED KILLER 24 parts water (7.5 oz. in 1 gallon of water). Any standard hand-held or backpack sprayer can be used. Thoroughly spray weeds. Use a coarse nozzle setting to reduce drift. Uniform coverage is important. Repeat treatment in 3 to 4 weeks for best results.
What to expect? Fiesta Turf Weed Killer® works quickly. Dying weeds will be seen within hours of application. Treated weeds will turn brown or black and occasionally a darkening of the grass leaf blades can occur after treatment, however the grass will recover.
A.D.I.O.S. Broadleaf Weed Treatment
A post-emergent eco-friendly foliar herbicide used for the control of broadleaf weeds and grassy weeds. This EPA exempt and OMRI certified non-toxic formulation can be safely used on turf and lawns, or around plants, bushes, small trees as well as fruit and vegetable gardens. No buffer zone is required when applied next to drinkable fresh water wells or bodies of water.
Finalsan®
Finalsan® is a non-selective contact herbicide. The active ingredient of Finalsan®, ammoniated soap of fatty acids, penetrates the wax layer (cuticle, bloom) of the leaf. Then the lipophile portion of the fatty acid ultimately destroys the plants epidermis cell membranes. This causes a fast release of cell material so that the plant dries up quickly.
Controls grass, weeds, moss and algae.
Finalsan can be used around turf, ornamental and food crop areas including parks, playgrounds, golf, schools and areas with pesticide bans/concerns.
